About Môrester Camp

Môrester Camp was established by Attie Janse van Rensburg in 1975 as a camping facility for Church groups, Schools and other similar organizations. The farm is still owned by the family.

The campsite is situated on the edge of "The Cradle of Humankind" – a world heritage area. An abundance of indigenous trees and shrubs, kopjes, small ravines and the Tweelopies spruit running through the property makes it ideal for Adventure camps, Leadership camps and picnics.

Môrester Camp is located in South Western Gauteng within a 90 minute drive from most major metro's e.g. Johannesburg, Pretoria, Vereeniging and Rustenburg.

Nearby Attractions

Maropeng

Sterkfontein Caves

Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve

These are just a few places of interest, all of these are a 30 minute drive from the property, which makes Môrester Camp an excellent stopover for touring companies.

Featuring: The Brand New Obstacle Course

Obstacle Course
Our brand new obstacle course build by Rudi and Lesley Delport, from OCT South, with advanced obstacles designed to maximise the challenge.

The selection of obstacles cater for both adults and children from beginner to elite.

The course includes running, climbing, jumping, crawling, swimming and balancing elements with the aim of testing speed, endurance and mental strength..

Obstacle training improves, mental strength, core strength, co-ordination, agility and muscle tone. If the effectiveness of full body exercise to treat chronic disease and neurological syndrome was put into a pill it would be the most prescribed medication in the world.
